My father was to begin his first chemotherapy treatment today. It cost $1900 for a subsidy patient. My father has a Income shield policy which will pay out $700 while the rest of the cost, $1200 will be deducted through Mediasave. The cost for this treatment is really expensive and specially so if you do not have a hospital insurance policy.
