Tumour size

The tumour size was still the same after viewing the result of the CT scan. The consultant has suggested to go for the 3rd session for chemotherapy treatment next week. Another new drug will be used if the treatment still do not yield any result. The CT scan also show that fluid has started to filled his lungs and that is why he is having constant cough in the day and night. My father will be going to the hospital after the New Year to remove his fluid from the lungs. Repeated consultant visit cost $23 which is heavily subsided by the government.

CT Scan

My father went for his CT Scan today at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. This scan will help the doctor to determine whether the chemotherapy has sucessfully reduce or eliminate the tumour. The total cost was $717.55 but there is a government subsidy of $535.05 for Singaporeans. The final bill was $182.50 which can be pay by Nets, cash or credit cards. Mediasave cannot be use for the CT Scan.

chemotherapy side effects

There is no side effects visible after getting his 4 chemotherapy treatment yesterday. But he is having serious cough during the night time. His appetite is still normal and he is still very alert through out the day. He will be going for his CT scan this Friday to determine whether the tumour has become smaller.

Cough

My father is having a lot of cough especially during the night time mading him to have a good night sleep very difficult. He try to get some sleep during the day as the cough is not that serious. There is still no signs of side effects like loss of appetite or loss of hair. He now feel more tired after the third session of the chemotherapy treatment.
