Transformer 2009 DS Game

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Movie has generated lots of interest and sales is roaring from models to games that are associated with it. Nintendo DS has launch two Transformer Games related with Transformers. One of them is the AutoBots Version and the other is the Deceptions Version.

W705 Tip #4: Wifi Setup

It is easy to setup WiFi on your Sony Ericsson W705 with just 3 clicks. You will then be able to surf the net using your Home WiFi Router or Free Wireless Hotspots.

Setup Wifi Guide

• Go to Menu - Settings - Connectivity - Wifi
• Turn on Wifi
• It will search for Wifi Network within range
• Your Wifi Network SSID Name will appear
• Click and connect to your Wifi Network SSID
• Enter WEP Key if your Network is protected
• It will prompt to save your Wifi Network as Favourite

It will connect to your Wifi Network and you will see a WiFi Logo on your top screen just beside the Network Signal Strength Bar. You will now be able to surf the net using the WiFi signal. If you lost your Wifi Signal, it will display Disconnected from Network on the top of your screen. If you proceed to surf with the WiFi signal disconnected, it will connect using your Mobile Network GPRS.

Wireless@SG Free Service Extended

Free Wireless@SG has been extended by the Singapore Government for another 4 years. The free service will end on March 2013 but it is most likely it will stay free beyond the deadline also. The broadband speed will be upgrade to 1Mbps in September 2009.

The three companies managing the Wireless@SG are Singtel, iCell and QMax. They will be able to decide whether they will levy charges on the broadband service after the deadline. Currently there are more than 430,000 users using the service. Some of these users even went on to sign up mobile broadband plan as they want to surf wherever they like and not restricted by the Wireless@SG locations.

Broadband has become an important part of Singapore as more services go online. Students is now the next growing group of customers which need to use Broadband for E-Learning. My Daughter who is in Primary 1 is using Broadband at home to access her E-Learning while at home. This allow her to study her English, Chinese and Maths at home as Admiralty Primary School has tied up with a E-Learning Portal.

For students from needy families, they can sign up for broadband at just S$1.50 monthly or S$54 for three years to use BroadBand Service. They are also able to purchase desktop compters and laptops at less than 50% of the market price for selected models determine under the assistance scheme. There are various schemes available and the family monthly gross income must be less than $2500. Please check out more infomation on the scheme from your school, resident committees or IDA.

DS Games Downloads Update June 09

New DS Games launched for the Nintendo DS. Some new games will come with piracy codes and may not work on R4,M3, DSTT and others. CycloDS Flash Card may work as their firmware as address most of the piracy code issues.

Amelia Jang Primary 1 Project

Admiralty Primary School has given all Primary One students a Little Men called Friendly Addy. The aim is to think of ways to dress up this little men into a creative one. This not only involve the student but also the Parents. Frankly speaking, a Primary One Student is helpless on what to do to the Little Men that their teacher has given them.

After speaking with so many of the Primary One Classmates Parents, most of the design were done by the Parents with the children assisting it. So we are not the only family helping our child to do the design.

W705 Tip #3: Sony Ericsson PC Suite

Sony Ericsson Media Manager
Plug in the USB Cable and choose Mass Storage for using this applications. It will auto setup your Phone Memory and your External Memory Card for transferring of Music to your Phone. It can also be link to your iTunes so that you can drag and drop the Podcast onto your Sony Ericsson Phone. Just drag and drop the music from the PC Pane to the Phone Pane. In the Phone Pane, select whether u want to put the files on the phone or external card memory.

W705 Tip #2: Supports Thread Messaging

W705 supports Threaded Messaging just like the current Window Mobile Phone and iPhone Series. In W705, Threaded Messages is also called Conversations. You will be able to see all the messages that you and the other party are communicating. In addidtion, it has another function which also allowed you to see individual SMS Message also just by going to the Inbox. Window Mobile Phone or iPhone does not have this extra service but only Threaded Messages.

Conversations

This is the term name for Threaded Message for Sony Ericsson Phone. In here, you will be able to see all the messages you are currently exchanging with the other party. You can scroll to the mesaage and get details like when it was sent and received. In addition, you can also scroll to your desire message and choose to delete the particular message or all those older than this message.

W705 Tip #1: Data Charges

W705 users must take note of their data usage if you are using the Play Now Plus features to download free songs from Sony Ericsson. Each songs is around 2MB to 5MB and therefore you will using a lot of data usage. You must ensure that you have a data plan if you want to use the Play Now Plus. Play Now Plus is available on Singtel W705 sets only while M1 and Starhub W705 only has the Play Now.

It is your responsibilities to ensure you have a data plan and do not assume you have it with the plan when you bought it. There are some Singtel users who have incurr high data charges when downloading free songs from Play Now Plus as their plan did not comes with a data plan. The songs maybe free from Play Now Plus but if you do not have a data plan, you will need to pay for the data downloads. 

I have a Data Plan of 50GB from my Singtel Corporate Plan at $7 only. Normal data plan will start from $3.21 depending on the data plan you are subscribing to. It is best to take up a data plan with min 500MB data and above. If you are not downloading songs, then a data plan of less than 200MB may be sufficient for your usage.

Kingdom of Hearts 358/2 Days Piracy Protection Fixed

Kingdom of Hearts 358/2 Days is an action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix for the Nintendo DS. It is the best selling Kingdom heart Series. There is a piracy protection on the game so that it will not work on flash card like R4, DSTT, Edge, N5, Cyclods(Ver 1.54 & below and others. You will be able enter to the game main screen but once want to start the game, the piracy check will start. Most likely you are going to get a black screen.

CycloDS Flash Card
CycloDS user just need to install the Firmware Ver 1.55 Beta 1 for the game to work as the developers has patch the game. This Firmware is not official launch on their website but use by many gamers with no issues. Current Official Firmware is still Ver 1.54 on the CycloDS website.

Hex Editor

Use your Hex Editor to load the ROM, find the hex values 01 E2 0C 51 00 0D, and change 0C to 37 (in HEX values), equal to 12 and 55 in DEX.
